Okay – I’m sort of embarrassed to tell you that I’ve been not-so-secretly willing the heat and grossness of this summer to come to an end. Now that the days are cooler and the sun is moving to a different point in the sky I’m sad. We’re all this way, right? I mean we want to “get there” (driver’s license, married, out of the 100 degree temps) and when we do,we’re sad to see the past.
This week I’ve been musing on a combination of relatively “heavy” things – the true meaning of authenticity, the lives of the saints and how my beloved Fighting Irish will fare this football season. You’ll be in for the ride in the coming weeks but for today, I want to share some more light-hearted and fun blogs with you in this week’s round up.

What I love about ColormeKatie is it’s color and it’s sense of whimsy. It’s just a kickass demonstration of creativity and we all need more creativity in our lives. I also love that she defies the common convention of having a paid blogsite. It’s living proof for you that a blog doesn’t have to be anything but YOU and focused to be good. Enjoy!
And my friend Carrie, who I met when I was a pet-sitter myself and coaching others to start and run super fun and super successful Pet Sitting businesses (I still do that you know) recommended this blog – Ammo the Dachshund. I’m including it because even though you know I am dog lover and advocate, I have an affinity for big dogs,and haven’t often hidden my challenges with the Dachshund breed. Ammo is working hard to change my ways and I thought you’d kick out of it too. (And for you Dachshund lovers — see I’m coming around!)
